Entries in the Birdhouse Design Contest are due by 5:00 today. Entries should be dropped off at the Depot Freight Room. Submission Requirements:

Please complete a registraion form (to be provided) when you drop off your birdhouse. You will be given a registration number. Registration is free.

Birdhouse must be able to be attached to a post or a platform.

Birdhouses requring special tools, maintenance procedures, or power will not be accepted.

Color and material at the discretion of the designer.

Single nest occupancy.

Entry to be sized for bird species desired.

Provide a “canopy” protection over the entrance.

No perches at entry to discourage predators.

A clean-out trap is to be provided to allow for cleaning.

Allowances for ventilation at the discretion of the designer.

Cannot exceed 10 pounds in weight nor extend past an envelope of 24” by 24” by 36.”
