Join us Thursday evening at the Callicoon Depot from 5:30–7:00 PM for simple community connection—time and space to gather, meet new people, share stories, listen, and just enjoy each other’s company.

There’s no agenda and no program, just neighbors coming together.

Bring whatever helps you feel at home: a snack or meal to share, something to drink, a cozy jacket if it’s chilly, or a few games for the kids.

This will be the last get-together of the Spring season. Fall season coming in September!

Depot Used Book Sale - Saturdays
Browse our collection of over 800 used books, in a wide range of subjects. Come and enjoy our selection of books in the unique and beautiful historic freight room of the former Erie Railroad train station.  Select categories of books will be featured each month in addition to our ongoing vast selection of books.  This event is a major fund-raising event for the depot geared towards the restoration of the station and the conversion of the grounds into a public resource and town square. Donations are welcome!

Depot Market and Used Book Sale- Every Second Saturday May through November; Rain Date the next day (Sunday)

Vendors with hand-crafted and vintage items will be selling their wares at the Callicoon Depot Market on July 11, outside on the Depot grounds from 1:00 to 6:00. The Depot freight room will also be open for browsing through our extensive collection of used books. The 2026 Depot t-shirts are also available, with a design by local artist Jay Brooks, featuring the iconic round radiator in the Depot’s former waiting room. All proceeds will help support renovation of the historic 1896 Depot.

A Birdhouse Design Contest is being held as part of the “Birds & Bees” event scheduled for Saturday, July 18. Entries will be displayed during the event and votes will be cast by those attending to determine the top five entries. The winners will be announced at the end of the event- 4:00 PM on July 18. Winners will be given a Callicoon Depot t-shirt in the color of their choosing. The Grand Prize winner will be given a t-shirt and cap.

Winning designs will be installed on the Depot grounds in the spring of 2027 and shall remain in place for the 2027 season.

Winning designs become the property of the CDI to use for publication and/or publicity.

Birds and Bees is a day-long celebration of native plants and local wildlife. Welcoming both community members and first-time visitors, the event highlights the important role that birds, plants, and pollinators play in sustaining the Upper Delaware ecosystem. Guests can also vote on their favorite entry into our birdhouse contest!

This beloved annual tradition transforms downtown Callicoon into a lively community celebration featuring local farms, artisans, makers, antique vendors, boutiques, and speciality shops. Visitors can explore historic streets lied with live music, handcrafted goods, vintage finds, art, clothing, and more while enjoying the unique character of one of the Catskills’ most charming river towns.

Although the Depot building will not be open during this event, live music will be presented on the Depot stage and vendors and other activities will be set up on the Depot grounds.
